Posting large numbers of failed [thing] is adding to thr large number of [thing] being shared. Basic engagement that perpetuates more and more [thing] filling feeds.

Like how a feed complaining about celebrity gossip spam is just perpetuating celebrity gossip spam.

Oh so its like enoughmuskspam? Thats great tho because it funnels all the annoying posts into few easily blockable communities

Yeah, concentrating it to make it easier to ignore is actually great.

It sounds like there’s a community making fun of bad AI images.

If I had to guess it’s fuckai, I blocked it a long time ago tho, but they’ve got like 50 mods and when I got to block someone I keep seeing they mod there.

If you also did the common sense thing and blocked the community a long time ago, you wouldn’t see it.

There’s also a chance you dont federate with the same instances as OP.

I don’t know why, but lots of people tend to think everyone sees the same stuff on Lemmy, there’s a lot of variation

Same here. Something is getting lost in translation.

There’s a community in which people post examples of an AI image generator messing things up. I think that’s what they mean by “ai-images failing”. I think they’re saying: “you may think that by posting to such a community you are being critical of AI generators, but in fact you’re still filling your head with AI noise.”

Thank you for taking the time to explain that. It makes a lot more sense now.
