19 presidential electors named in the paperwork were registered as Democrats and thus violated a political disaffiliation provision in the law. State law bars minor-party candidates from being registered with a major political party within 30 days of the primary election.
Considering the most likely reason they did it is so that they could vote tactically in a Democratic primary, I don’t think it makes sense. Why should they be forced to disenfranchise themselves now in order to maybe get the chance to vote for their preferred candidate later?

They aren’t voting. They’re running for office.
