Personally, I lean socialist, but I’ve noticed an alarming trend where certain news articles, particularly those about third parties or differing viewpoints, are met with hostility.
What really surprised me was that the hate and vitriol I received from Democrat-leaning voters on Lemmy far outweighed anything I got from the Republicans.
Both sides seemed more interested in maintaining echo chambers than fostering real, open discussion.
The frustration I felt from trying to engage in genuine conversation with people who were more focused on shutting down opinions than debating them drove me to create this space.
So I wanted a community where we can post and discuss news from any political party—Democratic, Republican, Socialist, Libertarian, Green Party, and even smaller, lesser-known movements.
The constant bashing and shaming for simply posting about third parties made me realize that we need a platform where all voices, including those not aligned with the duopoly, can be heard without being drowned out by hate.
Ironically, the backlash from Democrat supporters on Lemmy has made me even more curious about Republican viewpoints, and I’m genuinely interested in hearing from a variety of political perspectives.
Politics Unfiltered is about breaking free from these one-sided conversations and embracing a truly diverse political community.
Everyone deserves the chance to express their ideas, no matter which side of the spectrum they fall on, and I want this community to reflect that.
So, thanks to all the haters! After being called an idiot so many times, I’ve decided to create a community where people can post even more of the articles you despise. Good job! :)
Since you started this account forty one days ago you’ve made three thousand one hundred and sixty six submissions to Lemmy.
That’s one every eighteen and a half minutes.
I don’t think you’ve had a genuine conversation since you started this account and it’s probably not because of everyone else on this site.
How is it even possible to make that many posts/comments, considering he has to sleep?
that assumes he doesnt sleep, its more (12hr day) like 12 and a third at most, And (8hr day) 9 and a quarter at least. if the full wakeing day was spent on lemmy.
Isn’t it every nine and a quarter minutes if they’re on twelve hours a day and just over every six minute if they put in an eight hour shift?
That is probably correct, I must have got my math wrong.
It’s more than like an entire team uses the same account.
it could be a person who spends a very mentially unhealthy amount of time in the politics section, Id say, look at the writing style and see of its consistant or not, what tone of voice?, etc. either way, (edit, bots) the part not automatable with bots, is a full time job, One with verry unplesant implications for us and them.
They don’t write the articles, friend! Thank you! :):):) /s
Exactly! See? Now you are getting it. Good job!
And what are those implications?
Right? I must be pretty amazing and talented. Thank you!
Thanks! I feel so important that you think so much amazing stuff about me.
Hey! You have a new one, friend! The “entire team” accusation is brand new and awesome. Thank you for being original. I’m a one-man army now. Sweet!!
You won’t reach your hourly post quota if you’re blathering at me.
Well you keep the stats, so just update them as needed. I mean, you are that obsessed with me. Hey, how much do you think I’m getting paid since I am doing the work of an “entire team” after all. I wanna know what the going rate is for a russian troll farm employee avoiding the front lines!
Do you think I’d have to pay taxes on that salary or…
You don’t seem very good at math.
(1080 + 2170)/(41*16) = 4.95 submissions per waking hour. Took 20 seconds. Your level of obsession is truly sad if not paid.
