I think the fact that EVERY Midwesterner mutually shits on Ohio at any opportunity kiiiiinda makes a case that they’re Midwest also.
There are other states MORE deserving of the shit-talk, but it’s not personal and visceral the way every other Midwestern state hates Ohio.

It’s not shitting on them - Ohio is simply too far east to be in the Midwest.
Ohio is the eastern border of the Midwest, as defined by the Census Bureau.
