The vast majority of people aren’t rapists and abusers and fascists and shit, they just get a lot of attention bc enraging and hopeless stories get a lot of traffic. Oil and social media companies and right wing politicians invest a fuck ton of money and effort into making sure people are completely hopeless and mad at the wrong people, don’t give them that easy a win <3
