Before video games there were arcade games. Back in the 70’s the local amusement park had lots of them

Then after a while home games were really weak kinda representations of arcade games.

Then they were basically the same gameplay, just with worse graphics.

Eventually, the only advantage an arcade had were specialty controls and fun atmosphere.

I don’t think you understand what I mean by “arcade games”. These were analog games. There were old ones made of wood, one i remember specifically was a pinball/baseball game where instead of flippers you had a bat. Sea Devil was a more recent one that showed images by what I believe were photo slides (like in a slide projector). https://youtu.be/DqS9pbOR7Gg?si=5rSwlmg9ym6CB7XT this was high tech for the times. Search “vintage arcade games” on YouTube and you’ll see what I grew up on. Fortunately a lot of them were a nickle or dime to play.
        Here’s another I remember https://youtu.be/6U9_mWikMuY?si=FiCZMxZAtlsWqG1x

I’m 50 and I remember these. But I think in those days we were a bit behind the rest of the world. (ZA)
