I was asked to make a Milton megathread, so that is what I am doing. I’m going to be somewhat busy this evening, so I don’t think I’ll be able to quickly or easily update the thread with new information, but here are some resources:

NOAA Milton resources: https://www.noaa.gov/milton

National Hurricane Center: https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/index.shtml

FEMA’s Hurricane Milton page: https://www.fema.gov/disaster/current/hurricane-milton

FEMA hurricane safety information: https://www.ready.gov/hurricanes#before

If anyone has any others to add within the next two or three hours of this posting (3:18 pm EST, Wednesday October 9), I’ll be able to add them.

Someone has posted that Waffle House is closing with less danger than in the past because of fear of litigation so, if that’s the case, the Waffle House Index won’t hold the same value

FWIW, the storm chaser YouTube feed I linked to above is what I’m listening to and they certainly implied it was pretty significant.

Not necessarily an ad (moreso a recommendation I guess), but RadarOmega is a great way to watch storm chaser feeds as they’re plotted directly on the map. It’s also a very powerful tool if you’re into meteorology and/or live in hurricane or tornado prone areas.

          Appears to be $5/month.
