minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink2•edit-23 months agoBecause catholicism, the roman language names came from pagan gods, and the Portuguese wanted to distance from that. Sunday and Saturday keep their romance name because it had catholic/Jewish religious origin already.
Week days in Portuguese, start in Sunday goes to Saturday.
