It is weird he hasn’t matured in any way since his 20s, yes. Usually humans continue to develop throughout their lives, interest in relationships with people significantly younger than you either shows you haven’t matured since the rough age they are, or you feel people your own age are far too challenging due to their equal footing and prefer manipulating less mature people.
In context of the hollywood if this is his only wierd thing, he is a saint.

that’s a big if. there’s no way that a guy who can’t go near women with fully developed brains has no skeletons in his closet.
