Since people seem to have missed this one, unsealed in the Smith filing:
-Trump used a burner phone, routed through a foreign country to contact Michigan house speaker.
-He tried to pressure the speaker in this off book call.
-Speaker McCarthy knew about the burner phone line.
-The phone showed up as “Spam Risk Egypt” on caller ID.
How did he prove he was actually himself? Seems like anyone could have done it with a bit of AI.
This was before AI of that quality was accessible.
Fair enough, but a decent actor could probably work as well.
Or a third grade actor like Trump?
There is, after all, all the witness testimony from his side of the call.
I understand we have all the proof now, but back then, how can someone get intimidated by a call that could easily be fake.
