Former Bob’s Burgers actor Jay Johnston was sentenced to one year and one day in prison for his role in the January 6th US Capitol riot.

Johnston… previously pleaded guilty to a felony count of interfering with law enforcement during civil disorder in July 2024.

The 56-year-old actor was initially arrested in June 2023 after the FBI tweeted a photo requesting information about his identity. He is alleged to have led a group to the “front line of rioters confronting the police who were defending the entrance” to the Capitol, helping to launch an assault against a group of officers.

    I’m so glad they brought back Jimmy Pesto but recast the actor. That was a sure sign that they were done with Johnstone.

      Really wanted an internal nod where he goes to jail for terrorism and his wife takes over and blames Bob, keeping the feud alive

      I think Eric Bauza voices him just as well if not better. And he’s a way cooler guy in addition to not being a terrorist.

      I agree! They could’ve done it the quiet way and just stopped using Pesto, but they said loud and proud, “We don’t support this.”

      After the real heavy, emotional storylines of the newest season, I’m not surprised. Those burgerpeople seem on the up-and-up for sure.
