I use both. Android can use Jerboa (recommend from F-Droid, but also on GPlayStore). It’s still an alpha release. The web “app” through a browser is sufficient as well, the UI isn’t great in my opinion, but it is functional.

I agree that the UI is not the best, but I suppose the more people use it, the better it will get.
