Ok, so NASA needs to buy a construction company. Then, we get a space rocket, fill it with construction materials. Fill it with guys who work in construction. Then they build as much of a warehouse as they can before their oxygen tanks run out. Then they come back to earth. Replace the oxygen tanks, and send another rocket with more construction materials, and keep building that warehouse.

Then keep doing that until they’re done building the warehouse. Now, the next trip there they can ship them with tons of oxygen tanks instead of construction materials.

So now they can stay up there longer than a few days. Now they can ship another rocket with construction materials, and food, and supplies.

And when it gets there, now we have a warehouse to store all of it. And now they can start building houses. And they can bring plants to create oxygen. Bring some trees to plant.

Now you have roads, and houses, and empty communities. So if you don’t like earth, you can leave.

…I just need to figure out a way to create water on the moon.

Water can be harvested from asteroids, but you need a dome. Without a dome to keep it in the other items are useless, as water will become gasses, and all the gasses including oxygen will float away, the moon doesn’t have enough gravity. You also need a lot of carbon and nitrogen. Without the Carbom the plants won’t grow. Without the nitrogen, to dilute the the carbon and oxygen you’re gonna have a rather dangerous atmosphere. You’ll also need soil nutrients, and I wouldn’t recommend trees, they’re very inefficient for the task. Algae is probably best to start, then crops of course. All that said, this project will be insanely expensive. It would be easier to skip the steps and fix earths climate than it would be to create a sizable colony on the moon

Yeah, but just think of the sports rivalries. Once you set up the MoonMen in MLB, you’d win the World series every year! Because all the other teams can’t tolerate the 9 day travel between the moon and earth.

So all your games would be home games, and your opponents would be exausted the first day of a 3 day series.

Imagine winning 30% of your games by playing your worst pitcher.

And then you just need to win 1 game to win the 3 game set.

So realistically, winning an average of 70% of your games would be fairly simple. Then if you can get a really GOOD team, you might get 80-100% of your games. But on average, even with a meh team, you’d still roughly win 60% of your games.
