    And then shit has to change. Fast. We cannot be allowed to go through this sort of threat again. Every tier of government now has a responsibility to recognize and close any legal loopholes that have been abused in order to bring us to this point. As well, they must proactively pass legislation to prevent this kind of fuckery from easily recurring.

    For me, the necessary catharsis won’t arrive until I feel assured that democracy is safe again.

      All of that was true in 2020 and look where we are. It didn’t happen then and it’s not going to happen now. Call that pessimistic or fatalistic if you like but I don’t see any major changes on the horizon.

        Government typically happens on a longer than 4 year time span.

          You sound overly optimistic. Nothing happening over the course of 4 years is not the slow pace of government, it’s just nothing happening.

              Or you could just go back to 2016 from now and ask what’s changed
