Amprius Technologies has shipped its A-Sample EV cells to Ford, GM, and Stellantis' United States Advanced Battery Consortium (USABC).

Amprius’ new SiMaxx cells hit an impressive 360 Wh/kg in energy density – far beyond the USABC’s target of 275 Wh/kg. What does that mean for EV drivers? Simply put, longer range without a bulkier battery. Plus, these cells have a power density of 1200 W/kg, meaning more efficient energy delivery.

      I’ll be so happy to see them in production, in actual cars and trucks

      But holy moly how much power is going across that charger to do that? The heat pump would (I imagine) be going full tilt to keep up
