Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his supporters celebrated Donald Trump’s election as president, hailing what a leader of the Israeli settler movement called an ally who would support them “unconditionally”. Congratulating Republican Trump, Netanyahu said the former president had made “history’s greatest comeback”.

“Your historic return to the White House offers a new beginning for America and a powerful recommitment to the great alliance between Israel and America,” he said in a statement, which was echoed by the leaders of the hard-right nationalist religious parties in his coalition.

Trump doesn’t care about the country’s money, he cares about Trump. He will help them because any friend of Trump is someone worth helping, and Netanyahu is his friend.

Have you been under a rock? Trump literally only cares about money and power. He doesn’t have any friends. He only has acquaintances and co-conspirators. Old clips of him with Epstein and Giuliani are the only time I’ve seen him display what I would call happiness or fun.

Friends are a form of power. They may not be what you or I would call “real friends”, but does that matter?

Sounds like the word you’re looking for is “allies”

Quid pro quo. We’ve seen this before, it will happen again.
