Summary

Philadelphia’s immigrant advocates are bracing for Donald Trump’s aggressive deportation plans, vowing to resist and expecting churches to offer sanctuary, as they did during his first term.

Rev. Renee McKenzie, who previously sheltered undocumented families, anticipates renewed efforts by faith leaders to protect the city’s 47,000 undocumented residents.

Trump’s promise to defund sanctuary cities like Philadelphia has heightened fears, especially as Texas Governor Greg Abbott continues to send immigrants there on unannounced buses.

Activists are calling on local leaders to oppose federal cooperation on deportations, reinforcing Philadelphia’s longstanding sanctuary stance.

You’re not going to “fight back” against the US Army

I wonder how that works. US Army can’t be used against US citizens apparently, but against non citizens on US soil. Possibly with citizens protecting.

Legally speaking - i already have a general idea of how that administration behave in reality.

They’ll declare a National Emergency, and in that case the US Military can be used.
