      It is framed as an obligation to be respectful even if you are angry at them. Which is a reasonable mindset for your friends, but not fascists as the latter doesn’t deserve respect.

        I view it as a kindness that any human deserves. Having differences in opinion doesn’t change that for me.

            I think everyone does. That doesn’t mean I approve of their actions, or agree with their opinions.

              I think that even horrible people deserve to be treated humanly, as in no torture, but not with kindness.

              What does the word kindness mean to you?

                I suppose it’s trying to approach any interaction with good intentions for every party, and to treat people humanly. But not necessarily nice or helpful
