In the movies someone breaks their ankle and is limping around 5 minutes later. IRL you can’t walk for 3 months, it takes 2 years to recover, and it’s never the same again.
Well, I could suspend my disbelief considering they are usually in a life or death situation and adrenaline being a thing that makes people do incredible feats.
Don’t even need to break it, you can also just tear your ligaments slightly for the same effect.
(Continuing to walk on it for a week and doing a 50km hike might not have helped my case tho)
