Boring picture but not a boring drink. Whole Foods here had the best, ripest, most perfect yuzu I have ever seen. Got 6 of them, making a liqueur from the zest, and I juiced them and got about 4oz, not bad as they are mostly seeds.
2 oz bourbon
1 oz fresh squeezed yuzu juice
1 oz orange liqueur
0.5 oz St. Germain
Shaken.
Hmm I made the liqueur, sort of a yuzu-sake sweetened, and am very unsure about the sake in there. Too late to take it out now though. It’s (the sake) one we’ve used with rhubarb liqueur so I thought it would be good in this.
I would like to say that the blender- infusion method rocks! Blended the zest with vodka, rested it overnight, strained, gorgeous.
