Well here we are. Harris lost. This is the end game. Are you out of steam? I’d often hear the anti-genocide crowd only did it because they said they had leverage because it was an election year. So, I guess there wasn’t leverage. What now? How do you stop the genocide in Palestine now. What’s the plan?

I’ve been pretty politically active for the past 20 years, and it’s rough right now. Remain vocal and remember organizing locally is the most impactful. Complaining on lemmy (which I do when doom scrolling) doesn’t amount to more than yelling into the void. Boycotts, protests, volunteering, and a direct action approach to the issues you feel strongly about are where your time and energy will serve the most purpose. It’s great to see positive change on a national scale, but it’s far too depressing if that where you keep all of your focus. Internet communities are not as important the real ones we live in.

As far as the genocide in Gaza, the average person can’t do much more than boycotts, protesting and calling/emailing your representatives. It’s deflating when both presidential candidates commit to supplying the weapons being used to continue the war crimes…but I will remain vocal and participate in local events. Food Not Bombs is one I regularly support.

      Keep up the good fight

You can’t. Any plan will be immediate shut down by the Republicans in any way possible since they now control every aspect of every form of government (entire Senate, entire House, Supreme Court, entire swaths of the fucking Blue Wall states, etc.)

Fuck it then. Gloves are off now. Let them full fucking genocide them. Fuck it, let them die. This election reveals that an alarming majority of the United States don’t give a fuck about genocide anyways. This shit disgusts me, and there’s nothing anyone can do about this situation anymore.

Who are you asking? I’ve always been in support of Israel, just never wanted them to fuck up Palestinians so badly. Nowadays I hope they fully finish the job and eliminate them all so I can stop hearing about them suffering in the news and we can all finally move on to the next issue.

Am I suppose to be impressed? upset?

If you were out here opposing the dems in this election I knew then everything I needed to know, which is, you’re not very thoughtful and I don’t care much about what you have to say.
