I had to remove the Joey app from my home screen and replace it with the Jerboa app (as in, put it in the same spot) because I kept accidentally opening Joey. -.-

Yeah, I had the same issue. Maybe, just maybe, I had a small addiction and Lemmy does not help too much with that.

Yeah, I always like to check Reddit just before I go to sleep, to get sleepy, or when I can’t sleep. Or when I’m waiting for something and there’s nothing else to do to pass the time at that moment. So I’ll automatically open Joey and…well, I guess that’s the end of that.

I still have joey on mine as a reminder of the shitshow that is reddit. I haven’t touched it once since switching as I have been going to jeroba so often it’s already a reflex lol! Joey didn’t do anything wrong. I will always keep the app, never use it again, but keep it because it’s mine and I bought that freaking thing.

I know what you mean! I know it’s gonna be gone soon yet I don’t think I’m going to want to delete it. I bought it,I enjoyed it, and if all of this mess had not happened I would still continue to use and enjoy it. Sigh. :-\

Yeah, Joey was perfect. It felt sad when they sent the little survey to ask if people would pay a subscription to use the app and I was like … No, but not because of you, because of them.

It was so good and very few people knew about it, sad :(

I think it was just one developer doing all the work too

I was so surprised to learn few people knew about Joey. When I found Joey I was just looking for a popular app with high ratings through the Play Store and I never even questioned that Joey was one of the most popular apps.

It’s too bad so few people knew about it because it’s one of the best Reddit apps I’ve used and I would’ve loved to continue using it.
