As someone who worked venue security for 10 years, this is not uncommon. It makes the staff sound shitty but low bars for staff training are only partly to blame, liquor licencing laws that can fine me personally if the police see me failing to eject someone showing signs of intoxication are another.
The BIGGEST contributor however is that lying cunts will say literally anything to avoid being chucked out. I’ve heard damn near every excuse in the book, women chucking up litres of vodka cruiser and trying to tell me its morning sickness at 11pm. Dudes saying “I’m not drunk, I got a concussion at Rugby” like the obvious treatment to that is 14 rum and cokes, deafening music and flashing lights…
