Guess the profiteers better stop making tools of violent death to wage oil wars and sell to world governments then… Oh but that would tank our beloved economy! 😱

      It’s a lot easier when you find a land that is actually uninhabited. Anyone who has played Civ knows that it is hard to come by late-game.

        Now that you mention it, I have no idea if Iceland was uninhabited when the Dutch or the Vikings or whoever showed up. So maybe not entirely non violent.

          It was definitely uninhabited. It was the Vikings who founded it. It’s pretty interesting. The icelandic language has changed so little, they can read the original Beowulf text as easily as they read a bus schedule. It’s a really hard land to survive in. The early settlers had to resort to cannibalism several times.
