      I’m convinced it’s a thumb. Like, they found the kid’s head on a stock photo site, but it was just the head & no other body parts.

      I imagine the marketing team would have initiated a request to see if the original neck was available for use, but either the appearance release did not cover anything below the young child’s chin or it was too expensive to license both the head & the neck.

      Then, at the last hour, with deadlines raging, execs cursing, & client’s threatening to sue… that assistant editor, who hasn’t been pulling their weight, whips out their phone & photographs the prettiest thumb on staff.
