The Syria offensive has emboldened the warhawks, but they’re out of their fuckin minds if they think the rest of Latin America/Russia would just twiddle their thumbs as they do it.

What would Russia do about it? They can’t even help Armenia or Syria.

What would Latin America do about it? Venezuela’s neighbors moved to defend their borders after the Guyana invasion threats and they’re getting sick of their shit in general.

While this is true, I don’t think the rest of South and Latin America would have illusions about the US just stopping with Venezuela once we’ve finished our 3-day special military operation there. I hold no illusions about them being able to STOP the US military, but I also believe that a coalition military could definitely draw us into a long and bloody conflict there, to say nothing of potential partisan forces.

The US can’t even prevent leftists getting elected in their own hemisphere anymore. The ME and north Africa are the only places its still having successes.
