I noticed something odd on Perchance recently regarding how generators appear in the “Recently Updated” list. Specifically, our generator, ai-furry-generator, seems to be missing from the page even though it should be there. I confirmed its existence by using Ctrl+F and searching the HTML for // Manual block list, but our generator isn’t in the blocklist.

Within just 30 minutes, I tested across two devices and three browsers, and the issue persisted—our generator is simply not showing up.

Digging further, I found this line in the HTML:

// gens that are spamming save to stay at the top of the list for several days, but making literally zero changes.
// i think because they are earning affiliate revenue with their links

I understand the reasoning behind this. It’s a great idea to prevent abuse and ensure fairness by avoiding spammy behavior. However, in our case, we have multiple admins who frequently upload custom emojis, fix bugs, and ban trolls. This means multiple saved updates within a day are inevitable for maintaining quality.

It feels counterproductive that our efforts to consistently improve the generator and engage with users might be interpreted as spamming the update system. Isn’t it reasonable to save progress often to avoid losing unsaved work or to fix bugs as soon as they’re found? Being dedicated shouldn’t feel like a punishment.

Maybe there could be better alternatives for showcasing generators instead of relying solely on “last updated” status. For example:

  • A “Trending” section based on popularity
  • A “Most Visited” tab
  • A “Newly Created” category

(Admittedly, I’m not sure how hard these are to implement—just throwing ideas out there.)

I want to clarify that my complaints are based on assumptions, but the fact remains: our generator is missing and not showing up.

I’d love to hear others’ thoughts on this. Is anyone else experiencing similar issues or has insights into how this system works?

It’s solved by TAPgiles in Discord

There's a regex that checks for bad stuff in the title/description: /white.*power/i Which matches on your description which contains: "whiteboard drawing with tldraw—powered by Stable Diffusion."
Adjust that, and your generator should show up again.
