Hey all!

This should be available sometime later in the day. Huge thanks for a few new contributors - @joshua-davis-rose and @bohn002 - for putting in a lot of work as well.

  • Subscriptions now available in a drawer instead of “Traverse”. More of an Apollo-esque style
  • Switch accounts by pressing and holding the profile button. Feed header now allows you to select Local/All/Subscriptions
  • Continuing to improve image viewer
  • Saving images and sharing images now uses the cached files to share, so you don’t need to re-download them
  • Alphabetized subscription list
  • Community about screen now shows moderators
  • You can swipe back using anywhere in the tab bar (I’ve been experimenting with full-screen swipe back as well, once I get that ironed out a bit more we will add that too)
  • UI now uses the iOS 14+ dropdowns for context menus
  • Cleaned up some issues with longer community names, but there are still more to handle. Keep an eye out.
  • Subscriber count is now in the community search
  • All NSFW image issues should be fixed
  • Lots of performance enhancements around the app
  • Also lots of bug fixes, especially for a few newly discovered crashes

Please be sure to report any issues to the GitHub if you can. It is much easier to track there than it is here. There’s a lot of traffic, so it’s hard to keep track of all of it!

Stay tuned for more coming throughout the week!

Great update. Love that the subscriptions seem to be cached or preloaded.

One thing I noticed is there is extra space below the bottom bar (at least on my iPhone 8).

Ah an iPhone 8 user! Haha, didn’t realize that. I’ll remove the space. (At least it isn’t Android with 18372 different screen sizes…)

Oh yeah we exist lol. SE3 would be the same too I guess.

While I have you, any news on notifications? They still don’t seem to work.

Thanks for replying and thanks for being such a cool developer!

I’ve heard for a while that it wasn’t working with .world…Is your issue that they show as enabled but are not going through?

I seriously just have not had time to look into it, but I’ll try to check some logs and see if there’s something blocking them.

Yeah. They show as enabled in the app as well as in the iOS settings, but never get any push notifications or badges on the app icon.

I understand the time issue. I didn’t mean to pressure or rush you. It is not so important.

They did work on world before the hacking event. So maybe they changed something. Also, I have 2fa enabled now which I didn’t before. Could that be a contributing factor?

Did you have push notifications enabled before that? I’m not sure but they might invalidate JWTs after enabling it but not sure. Shouldn’t matter though as long as you re-enabled afterwards.

I’ll take a look at some point today or tomorrow to see how I can fix that up.

I had push enabled before the hack, no 2fa.

After hack, enabled 2fa and then no push notifications. So could be the hack or could be 2fa related.

I did change my password so that should have reset the token I thought. (Of course I re enabled afterwards)

I have a theory actually now reading this. Let me do some work on it tonight and I’ll reply here again to have you test and see if it works.

I imagine that having that space there is probably bad for older iPhones but might actually be good to keep for newer iPhones (the ones without a home button), so the little white bar on the bottom of the screen doesn’t get in the way of the menu.
