I’m still on windows, and I periodically check if it’s time to switch to Linux on my gaming PC. My only requirements are that I should be able to enable adaptive sync without touching the terminal or needing to turn off my second monitor. Anyone with Nvidia hardware switch recently?

NVidia still hasn’t implemented support for adaptive sync with multiple monitors in their driver. If you can connect the second screen to the integrated GPU, that would work though

Unfortunately, I do not have an integrated GPU, looks like I’ll wait another 6 months and hope Nvidia can figure their shit out. Thanks for the help

Nvidia’s driver is mainly a datacenter product, desktop users are at best an afterthought and usually just irrelevant.

Get a GPU from a vendor that actually cares about Linux desktop use (or rather doesn’t actively prevent users from making an open-source driver that works properly).
