    Didn’t the US take Panama already?

    I mean they took Panama, but it’s still Panama, hint, hint nudge nudge.

      From Columbia, yes, the United States took the Central American portion of Columbia and made Panama. Then built the Canal and leased it from Panama for 100 years.

      Edit: there is a lot more to it but that’s the gist of it.
