        I would assume that the Americans who are concerned about the treatment of immigrant families and the Americans who voted for Trump are fairly disjoint groups. So it’s not really fair to tell the first group that they should just accept such centres because they voted for them, since they mostly didn’t.

          You really have missed the point. You, as a nation, voted for Donald Trump he is therefore ur president, whether you like it or not.

          So it’s not really fair to tell the first group that they should just accept such centres because they voted for them, since they mostly didn’t.

          By that logic it’s not fair to tell the January 6 rioters that they should just accept the election.
