Summary

Trump’s new “border czar,” Tom Homan, announced family detention centers are part of the administration’s immigration enforcement plan, potentially reviving practices ended by Biden.

Homan supports litigating the Flores Settlement Agreement, which limits detaining migrant children to 20 days, and aims to increase immigration judges to expedite cases.

While he denies plans for large-scale family separations, critics like the ACLU warn the proposals could coerce parents into tough decisions about their children.

Trump voters don’t care, and enjoy the cruelty. Others didn’t vote for this. So who is “u”? Both of the Trump voters who care about the treatment of immigrants?

I would assume that the Americans who are concerned about the treatment of immigrant families and the Americans who voted for Trump are fairly disjoint groups. So it’s not really fair to tell the first group that they should just accept such centres because they voted for them, since they mostly didn’t.

        • You really have missed the point. You, as a nation, voted for Donald Trump he is therefore ur president, whether you like it or not.

So it’s not really fair to tell the first group that they should just accept such centres because they voted for them, since they mostly didn’t.

By that logic it’s not fair to tell the January 6 rioters that they should just accept the election.
