Why? I literally have a list on my phone of shows I’m currently watching and shows people recommended to me. When I’m looking for a new show why wouldn’t i try one that someone thinks i would like?
To me it’s more like whenever someone describes a show that is completely not up my alley, I’ll pull out this line to not completely dismiss their likes by saying it’s not my thing.
exactly, when someone even just mentions a show, and I happen to be on the look for a new one, I usually check it out. but people I know never check out anything anyone recommends.
I think its weird.
Personally, I just don’t watch TV shows and movies and such, so when people smalltalk me up to one of them, there’s hardly any other reaction I could have. It would have to sound exceptionally interesting for me to try to find a way to watch it, but if it’s not freely available on the internet, chances are I’ll just go down the Wikipedia rabbit hole for the information that interests me…
For me it’s more who tells me about the show. If it’s my friends that I have similar taste in most stuff then absolutely. They are basically telling me because they know we will enjoy it. If it’s a family member? I’ll proceed with caution.

Do you have a list on your phone of books you’re currently reading and books people recommended to you?
