Summary

Trump’s new “border czar,” Tom Homan, announced family detention centers are part of the administration’s immigration enforcement plan, potentially reviving practices ended by Biden.

Homan supports litigating the Flores Settlement Agreement, which limits detaining migrant children to 20 days, and aims to increase immigration judges to expedite cases.

While he denies plans for large-scale family separations, critics like the ACLU warn the proposals could coerce parents into tough decisions about their children.

I know this might be popular belief or something, but I am an individual, my beliefs do not necessarily align with what my government believes.

Not sure why everyone thinks this. Individuals are not their government. It’s ridiculous that it even needs to be said.
