Not sure how a state level civil defamation case would make it to the federal criminal level without bending the whole criminal justice system.

He/they will just say she lied and falsely accused him and that should be investigated/prosecuted.
Where the case originally was held won’t matter then.
Agreed, but I’m not sure if those civil rulings would stop the DoJ from filing criminal charges if Trump pushes them into it.

If it does stop them, he’ll just keep replacing the AG until it doesn’t.
