I have an Athlon 3000G (YD3000C6FHBOX/YD3000C6M2OFH) I’m trying to pair with a Gigabyte AB350M-DASH.

I’ve assembled the pair, connected to a 750W PSU, but I get no video signal output. The system doesn’t POST, nor does it return any error signal.

It isn’t a RAM error issue as the system doesn’t change behaviour with or without the stick.

Can anyone offer some suggestion on this issue? I’m already considering buying an error code external reader, as the board seems to have a dedicated por for it.

If that is the possibility, then I’ll have to get another CPU, put it in, update the BIOS and then try again with this one.

I think you should be able to find a used Ryzen 3 1200 on eBay for less than $20 so you can update the BIOS.

make sure you don’t just use the most recent version of the BIOS, iirc they removed Athlon support in some motherboards to make room for 5000 generation chips.

Nothing is ever easy… Another reply mentions the Athlon 3000G requires the F40 update; I’ll stick to that.

After checking, I’m pretty sure they’re right f40 looks like the min.
