Definitely a tie between Where Have “All The Merrymakers Gone?” (Harvey Danger), “Example” (Four Squirrels), and “Four” (Blues Travelers). Definitely my most played and favorite albums of 2024.

As of this year, it’s looking like “Ten Thousand Fists” (Disturbed) is taking the lead as my favorite. We could see an upset folks!

I’m not trying to shit on your here but really? A bunch of 90s bands putting out old age money grabs? I assume you didn’t mean to misspell Blues Traveler.

And I’m waiting for the punch like this person has to have a good one and it’s fucking Disturbed? Ohh ah ah ah ah, Disturbed? Yeah I liked them when I was a young teen when that came out. Fuck my life I came to this thread hoping for new shit. You have to be joking.

I’m not even the person you’re replying to, but you’re formally invited to kiss my ass anyway. When op asked for “your” album of the year, they didn’t mean you specifically.

Didn’t realize I put the extra “s” in “Traveler”. Also, to each their own. Never got to experience any of these albums growing up since I wasn’t there to experience the 90s and was too young to be able explore the 2000s metal scene until at least the 2010s (if I had become interested in it) and appreciate it. So, I definitely stick with picking stuff I’ve started listening to relatively recently over something new, especially since I’m not a big fan of modern English pop music and don’t have any albums from any foreign bands/singers I like (assuming they still do CDs).

I’m with Ace, I don’t think I could name an album from the past 5 years. Artists and songs, sure, but I’m not looking up album titles, or even listening to an entire one from start to finish.
