Any criticism of democrats in discussion which includes republicans is a wasted opportunity to criticize republicans. Your contempt for moderates necessarily includes a system which is itself moderate, because it does not move the needle all the way to the right.

The contempt for democrats is justified given that they just ran a Republican campaign featuring a Cheney, a fascist border bill, and strong support for genocide. They got fucking wrecked by a fascist because people who like that shit tend to support the full strength shit and not the weak sauce. And in fact that shit depressed the base so much that Donald fucking Trump won the popular vote. Great shit there centrist Dems.

They would have been much better served by appealing to their base like they did with obamas first campaign and Biden’s first campaign. Fuck, they had Walz right there but the Sorkin brained consultants went with Cheney as the final appeal to the voters.

But you got wrecked by the same fascist. How can you claim superiority if you didn’t even make it on the ballot? You’re less effective than the democrats and your contempt for them just makes you look weak. Stop focusing on the democrats. As I said, there are bigger problems to the right of them.

If you’re getting stabbed 6 times, getting stabbed an extra 9 matters little to a lot of people.

You’re saying you wouldn’t care if you got stabbed an additional 9 times? Stupid argument.

I’m pretty sure I’d care way more about getting stabbed than the amount of stabs, because usually when already being stabbed you’re not counting how many times it happens. That’s the point.

the difference between the two groups is important. when people say “both major parties are the same” because they are both too conservative (ie. “I don’t care how many times I’m getting stabbed, I care that I’m getting stabbed at all”) they ignore differences like the support of social programs, environmental regulations, and civil rights expansions. You’re saying you don’t want those supports because of the party they come from? Give me a break. I don’t agree with their agenda either but you cannot deny it’s better than Trump being in office. And by lumping both groups together you risk alienating democrats who would otherwise be open to your ideas. This “you’re not X enough, get out” mentality makes you weak and that’s why you can’t get names on a ballot, and it’s why you’ve never gotten close to achieving the lofty ideals you rag about all damn day. Shut up and do something.

I get what you’re saying, but at this point the Democrats act more like a captured party than they do an opposition.

Which means despite the few things they do that’s good, they don’t stop the main issue because ultimately they serve the same class.

They’re not trying to stop the stabbing so to speak of the middle and lower class, and are actively participating in it.

Championing things like civil rights and green initiatives are pointless if you’re also doing absolutely nothing to stop fascists who will not only abuse power to roll all that back, but also go even further back.

One step forward, Two steps back leads you to the exact same destination, just a bit slower. Slow enough to prevent uprisings and let bread and circuses do their thing. Slow enough that Luigi is the exception rather than the norm.

As for the reason the goals the left wants that never get passed? That’s literally on Democrats. They actively shut that down, because the core party at the end of the day is very solidly right wing. Fight hard like Bernie? Shut out. Try to compromise like AOC? Still backstabbed as well.

That’s why I moved long ago at this point. I smelled the stink of corruption long ago and saw the sinking ship had no hope. After the soft coup that was Bush Jr, that should have been most people’s alarms things were really, really wrong.

I fought, but people like you are many, still thinking things can be changed within a system designed to not do what the public wants - thinking they can hear the house at the casino.

And quite frankly, it just wasn’t worth throwing my life away when the majority (ESPECIALLY back then) were like you or much worse.

But good luck with your belief. It’s all you got apparently since you don’t even realize you’ve already been bleeding out for awhile.
