Such a lucky run so far (Red Deck Gold difficulty)… Not quite sure yet what to do, probably sell the tarot joker for the blueprint

This game sounds extremely deep and complicated to me (a stupid person), but I’ve heard such good things about it. Is the learning curve pretty steep? I’ve played Poker enough to know the rules and I’ve played a couple deck builder games (not sure if it’s relevant but cards).

Picked up the game just last week here, and also introduced it to my wife, who barely plays any video games at all, but likes card games in general. We were both immediately pretty addicted.

It doesn’t start off with nearly the level of complexity you’ll see discussed here, and you can enjoy yourself with it basically immediately. The complexity will come in as you play more and unlock more cards/push to do challenges and harder stuff once you’ve won the game many times.

The game has surprisingly little to do with Poker, in fact it’s just the hands that it takes from it (plus adding some of its own ones). It is basically a Solitaire deck builder. Apart from various introductions I’m sure you can find online, I can tell you the little stuff I know about the game in about an hour, though I only have about ~80 hrs in the game so far so there are most likely some better sources available.

The game can become very complex, but it’s not overly difficult to get into, and it’s very fun and well done. Not everything works on the higher difficulties though so there is some learning about how to approach the game.
