Easily one of my most controversial picks to post here lol. Lamb of God is one of those new wave American death/groove/metalcore bands that felt pretty popular in the mid 00’s (coincidentally when I was growing up and found extreme metal music). Their music is VERY post-thrash and Groove-laden, but after all, what is groove metal but slowed down thrash?
This song will not be for everyone, the voice was still in the middle of being found, and the production absolutely favors the fuck out of the bass from every single instrument.
Loved the shit outta Lamb of God as a teenager, though I gotta admit this particular song is not one of my favorites despite the 10/10 lyrics lmao

A musician friend of mine once substituted a singer of an underground metalcore band because the singer got sick. He didn’t know any of the lyrics but was just throwing in whatever random catchphrases and honestly this song looks like it was born like that haha
