You are looking at it from lemmy.world, which uses a different older version than the ones the devs are pushing out. Check out lemmy.ml and lemm.ee

Like, lots of reasons not to go lemmy.ml, but we’re explicitly talking about stuff that happened on world…
It matters because most instance download the dev’s version, not just stick to older versions, carefully analyzing them and patching what they see fit.
