Deleted my account, deleted the app! My thumb keeps looking for it on my phone, though. Poor little thumb, probably misses his old simpsons shitposts

The thumb thing is real. It’s like muscle memory every time I unlock my phone.

Sync is/was a fantastic app. One of the best designed and functioning Android apps I’ve used. Damn shame.

The Sync dev has stated that Sync for Lemmy might become a thing one day, so there’s good news on that front.

I just replaced Sync with Jerboa.

Yeah, and the things that I’ve noticed as being broken are actively being worked on (you can just look at the GitHub commits and code reviews and follow along since it’s open source)

Agreed. I deleted Boost off of my phone, and because it’s early in the alphabet I’d open my App Drawer most times to get to it

Now I just muscle-memory open my calculator and look disappointed.

Yep sync is truly incredible, The fluidity of the app was truly something else

To account for muscle memory, I just created a folder where Reddit used to be, and made Lemmy the first entry. Good way to test multiple apps regularly.

The muscle memory is so bad. I had to hide RedReader after I found myself subconsciously opening it over and over again. The toilet breaks are not the same…

I won’t be deleting it yet, they’ve got the accessibility exception for now.

Same, it’s been hard it’s like I’m in rehab. But in a way it’s great too. I’ve been doing other stuff. Like started learning to make video edit with Davinci. For all the Apex gameplay footages I’ve stored over the years.
