Do aid concerts actually work? Or is it mostly just a way for people to feel good and pretend they’re helping?

      It’s complicated…

If you take the example of 1985’s Live Aid

      https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Live_Aid#Criticisms_and_Controversies

Questions about the fundraising organization’s lack of oversight into how the money was spent, vs. bringing the world’s attention to a desperate situation.

Maybe a better comparison is the Farm Aid concert series that has been regularly held since 1985.

Small family farms continue to struggle, and likewise, climate change ensures that wildfires will only get worse.

The Farm Aid org does some interesting work on changing farming for the better, encouraging young people to enter the farming business, and promoting sustainable farming practices. https://modernfarmer.com/2015/08/farm-aid-30-anniversary/

Maybe Fire Aid will improve attitudes and policies about housing in the age of climate change, maybe even around climate change itself.
