In public, generally, but not at home. Not a boomer, but ADHD. I set my phone down so many random places and I would not realize it was going off unless it were in front of my face. And if I need to have it called so I can find it, it is much easier hear.

That’s why I have a smart watch. Can’t leave it places if it’s attached to me.

Plus, it can make my phone make noise even if it’s on silent.

I just use the android “find my phone” thing. It’ll ring at max volume even if it’s on silent.

I only turn my phone to silent if I’m somewhere that specifically requires it: like a movie theatre.

Not a boomer and I don’t care for people telling me I am rude or whatever for having my phone make noise.

Edit: I know having my phone make noise is unpopular, but I paid for this brick to make noise.

        Ok boomer.

Sorry poor humor. I honestly don’t care if someone’s phone is ringing in public, only thing that annoys me is when they are playing on or watching things in public with the volume turned up.

Somebody needs attention. Look at the big important man getting phone calls and notifications. Pathetic.

MF what? You’re the one getting twisted because I am using a feature on my phone that is standard.

              Get over yourself.

Might just switch from one of the standard ringtone ls that I use to blaring O Canada (my national anthem) due to the fact I know it would trigger you.

Buddy, you’re the one trying to force your idea on me. I’m not turning my phone to silent, and you can fucking cry yourself hoarse.

My phone, my settings, tell me in person.

My parents have the longest, most obnoxious ring tones for texts on their phones.

I wear a bone conductive headset a lot of the time, and I have it set to read out calls or important messages to me. Smartwatches have a similar use, but goal is to not miss a call while also having the phone on silent.

Millennial not a boomer, but I get so few phone calls my so I never bother putting my phone on silent. I do mute media volume tho don’t need to accidentally play video audio in public.
