They existed to capitalize on that market and to guide liberals to do what their owners want. Look how for example they ridicule progressives like Bernie or AOC, how they ignored net neutrality during Obama and trump. Look how they get Biden to cancel campaign when he was promising to raise taxes on $400k+ They are “liberal” but only in a way that it doesn’t interfere with billionaires wealth.
