Waiting for OSM to replace google maps, unfortunately the tiling is more like a 1990’s car street map than a modern bing/google maps and there’s nothing I can find that replaces youtube for sheer volume of content
Outside of that, Apple Iphone/Google android are about the only American things I still depend on
fyi the default style on osm.org is not the only one, if you use vector tiles it’s pretty trivial to make your own style even.
Check https://osmapp.org/, it’s vector based and has a style much more similar to gmaps. There’s also Organic Maps on android and i think ios, which is also closer to gmaps.

Yeah they were all pretty abysmal tbh but hopefully it keeps improving
