A Florida man who prosecutors alleged attacked police with an explosive device on Jan. 6 was arrested on pending federal gun charges, according to court records.

Daniel Ball, a Jan. 6 rioter whose case was dismissed following a Trump pardon, was arrested on federal gun charges in Florida.

Ball, 39, allegedly attacked police with an explosive device during the Capitol riot and has a criminal history, including multiple felony convictions for domestic violence and assaulting law enforcement.

Previously detained pretrial for the Jan. 6 case, he was deemed a public danger by a federal judge.

The new indictment charges him with unlawful firearm possession as a felon.
