Summary

House Republicans, led by Speaker Mike Johnson, announced a new subcommittee to investigate the January 6 attack, aiming to challenge findings that held Donald Trump responsible.

Chaired by Rep. Barry Loudermilk, the panel seeks to reframe the riot as a result of intelligence and security failures, not deliberate violence.

This follows Trump’s sweeping pardons for all January 6 defendants, including those convicted of violence.

Critics warn these actions could encourage political violence, while Republicans claim they aim to “uncover the full truth.”

I like how Jordan Klepper was interviewing some maga asshats and asking them, “you’ve never seen this?” Redhat: “this is from J6?” Klepper: Yeah, this is from the most photographed criminal act in history.

One of the douchebags still said all of them should get a blanket pardon, even though his going in position was that it was peaceful and no one was armed. When shown someone who definitely was fucking armed, and shot the gun, no less, didn’t matter: “full pardon”.

That’s the level of criminality, un-Americanness and delusion we are dealing with here.
