If I broke a rule, I apologize, but I’d like to know what I did. Yesterday, I posted a user-generated map of ICE agent sightings and Lemmy.world’s automod immediately deleted the post and banned me from the entire site. I have no idea why that post, above all my other interactions with !resist@fedia.io, warranted a sitewide ban. Is it because I changed the title to blame a vile subreddit when the map went down? I really hope it isn’t partisan bias.

Threativore appeals work from any account from any instance, so you can make a throwaway or ask a friend

Sure, the same applies to any other lemmy-internal contact method though such as posting to !support@lemmy.world or sending a pm to @lwreport@lemmy.world.

Our automod doesn’t currently inform people that they’re banned or how they’d appeal that though. We usually review automod actions within an hour though, in most cases false positives are sorted out before the user even notices them.

Wow! I’m floored that you routinely review automod actions at all, let alone that quickly!

Well yes, but obviously the threativore appeal process is more than just a pm. anyway, not trying to argue here.
