It appears the US congress has just proposed (edited) a bill that declares “Antifa” a terrorist organization.

This doesn’t even make sense as Antifa isn’t an organization, but just a shared name for anyone that self-identifies as a person opposed to and willing to fight fascism 🤦‍♂️

    Since this is an EU community it should be mentioned that this cannot become law in the US without passing the Senate. Which is usually a much higher bar. The US House of Representatives is known for suggesting outrageous stuff that never even gets heard in the Senate.

        It’s not that simple. The Republicans kept the filibuster. So they need 60 votes to pass things uncontested. They only have 53.
