Seems like you’re dismissing only the people responding to the behavior negatively and not the ones actually doing the behavior. I find it convenient that you are constantly silent on the genocide in general. I only see you commenting when it comes to pointing the finger at scapegoats. It’s easy to notice with the amount you post (not an insult, just an observation, I don’t mind high engagement).

It doesn’t seem like you are arguing in good faith, since you accuse me of something I’m clearly trying to curtail.

Yes it’s annoying when every thread about the genocide has people screaming at the top of their lungs trying to blame voters.

I have more to say on the subject but I was too harsh and got my comment removed so I will leave it at that.

No, I’m dismissing anyone who doesn’t give enough of a shit about Palestinians to bother talking to them.

How often have you done it?

Feeling empathy for a population isn’t contigent on direct communication with them. Pure rhetoric. But to answer your question, I have a good friend who’s Palestinian. He’s been here for many years but it was still brutal to see how it affected him. So yes, I’ve talked to them.

You are also dismissing only the people that don’t align with your beliefs. You are clearly only pushing one side, the one that makes light of the genocide and seeks to divert attention to anyone who isn’t Biden and by extent Israel, and it’s easy to assume why.

Why are you lying? I have not once defended Biden. Not once.

My whole fucking point is that U.S. politics are not what is important here. I literally already said that in this comment chain.

Lying in order to argue with someone is pretty shitty behavior.

I never said you defended him directly. I’m saying you only blame voters and only dismiss comments being critical of Biden. I’ve repeated this many times.

You reinforce the idea that the voters are to blame because obviously, applauding Biden would show your pro genocide stance a bit too clearly.

If you only criticize one group, you are still taking sides.

I know how you argue bro, stop with the rhetoric. Are you really going to pretend you are impartial? I’ve seen you directly start commment chains more then once on the subject and it was always to blame voters.

I am not doing that either. Stop lying about me.

                “Both parties are the same”

“A vote for Harris is a vote for genocide”

This was your sarcastic comment in a thread talking about the article “Trumps calls to ‘clean out’ Gaza and move Palestinians to Egypt and Jordan.”. You weren’t dismissing anyone but were actively participating in the behavior. This wasn’t in response to anyone, it was a parent comment. It was 3 days ago.

Nothing in the article mentioned voters, you decided to bring up the subject.

What a surprise, more projection from your part. I obviously dont expect you to walk back your statement calling me a liar and admit just how two faced you are. I know arguing isn’t about the truth for you but your ego.

Your rhetoric won’t work, don’t call me a liar.

You do know it’s possible to think both parties are bad but one is worse, right?

                  So yeah, you lied.

For the record, and I have said this dozens of times on Lemmy, even in this very thread- I am not a Democrat. I have never been a Democrat.

Furthermore, I take the advice of W.C. Fields and “never vote for, only against.”

But would I rather have Harris? Yes. Then I wouldn’t have had to flee the country with my gay daughter before she was put into a camp.

Pretty sure you were accusing me of lying about this. Obviously, you are used to moving goal posts.

I know that both parties are in the wrong but one is worse. My whole point is that you consistently blame the voters instead of either of the parties.

Everyone wanted Harris, and I was very vocal about voting for her anyways before the election. But the election is over and they lost because they decided to prioritize genocide instead of their constituents.

You had to flee because Harris chose genocide over your daughter. It’s their job to get votes and they did the opposite. Stop looking for scapegoats.

What do you think you’re bringing to the table by screaming about voters everytime there’s a thread about the genocide? If you aren’t a Democrat, why do you constantly defend them and try to shift the blame, going as far as to argue with people that are trying to keep them accountable for days?

Instead of assuming you are right, use a bit of sense and actually think about what I am saying.
